Bits & Pieces
The theme for the Summer 2009 issue of Knitters Magazine is relax, reflect, and refresh, and the patterns offered in this issue will allow you to do just that. There is a wonderful collection of items to knit that will take you from one season into the next in both comfort and style. For children, there are colorful leggings, an entrelac pullover in sizes 18 months to 10 years, a dress for girls aged 2 to 5 years, and a little jacket to knit in the same size. There is also a boldly colored afghan with shifting blocks of color that will please both young and old. For women, there are patterns for cardigans, short and long sleeved pullovers, a shrug, and a capelet and hat duo that will a pleasure to wear. There are also patterns for beaded wrist warmers, scarves, and berets. An article on the Think Outside the Sox Master Class will be sure to inspire you to create your own sock creations and an article on knitting lace rounds out this issue.
