Knit Any Patterns with Handspun Yarns
This Fall 2017 issue of Spin Off marks a pretty special milestone for all of us—it’s our 40th anniversary. For 40 years, we’ve been writing about the craft we love. For some of us, it was inherited; for others, it was self-taught; but for all of us, it’s been a passion for decades. It has been our absolute pleasure bringing you the articles and techniques that will shape the future of spinning in addition to the tales of history that have gotten us here today.
In our 40th anniversary issue, we’ll consider what’s changed—and what hasn’t—in spinning, with our best tips throughout the years. You’ll learn how to knit any pattern with handspun yarn, add new life to a worn-out garment by using handspun yarn to mend and patch it, and even improve your long-draw with Maggie Casey’s guidance. Plus, you’ll find patterns to spin and knit both a simple cowl and a stunning shawl.
Join us in celebration as we look back on what was, and ahead to what’s in store with the Fall 2017 issue of Spin Off!
