21 Must-Have Designs

For many of us, this is the most challenging time of year, which is why we’ve decided to fill Simply Knitting issue 102 – our February issue – fun, feel-good knits that will be just as pleasing to knit as they are to use and wear.

With Valentine’s Day on the way, we’ve also made this loved-up issue full of knitted hearts and hugs! Heart-themed patterns include Alan Dart’s purse-lipped Queen of Hearts on page 35. Her heart-topped sceptre is fabulous! 

This issue’s free gift is a set of six square shell buttons, the perfect finishing touch to so many knitting projects! We’ve incorporated them into several of this issue’s designs, including the mug hugs on page 71 and the tea cosy in your supplement.

In a bid to indulge you even more, we’re focusing on ultra-soft, ultra-warm yarns this issue, such as the Rico Baby So Soft used for the sweet baby dress on page 21, and the Rowan Creative Focus™ Worsted yarn for the man’s knitted jacket on page 59. Enjoy!
